While learning the art of screen printing I started a project to interpret a Haiku typographically and then to screen print the final design. I felt the poem contained an anger that pulled at the structure. Visually I displayed this by enlarging the word ‘rage’ and fracturing the rest of the poem. To further this vision, I printed the end piece on a sheet of fine glass, not only does this add to the fragility of the poem, it also reinforces that the ‘rage’ has taken apart the poem, leaving little else left behind.
